Dr. Alireza Minagar has extensive experience as a clinical trial manager for the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Alireza Minagar oversees the experimental process from inception to publication of results, while also monitoring regulatory compliance and communicating with specialty teams. In addition to publishing his own research, he ensures all related documents are up to date and reviews manuscripts for factual accuracy and correct style.

For almost 20 years, Dr. Minagar also served on the faculty of the neurology department of the LSU health center. Drawing on his background as a neurologist focused on multiple sclerosis, he mentored students in vascular neurology, neuro-immunology, psychiatry, and other fields. In addition, he developed the course curriculum. He is a member of several specialty groups, such as the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, and the American Academy for the Advancement of Science.

After an initial medical education in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Minagar served residencies in neurology at New York University and the University of Miami. He stayed in Miami for his fellowship in neuro-immunolgoy, then moved to Mt. Vernon Hospital in New York for his internal medicine internship. Dr. Minagar also holds an MBA degree from LSU and a master’s degree in bioinformatics from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In his leisure time, he is an accomplished novelist and portraitist.
